Reviews and Ratings
Lake of the Springs is a large resort-style campground that offers a bunch of amenities like tennis courts and fishing opportunities. The facilities are generally clean, though a bit older, and the environment can get quite crowded, especially during peak seasons. It’s a nice getaway if you’re looking for power and water hookups, but not the traditional camping experience you might expect in more wooded areas.
Lake of the Springs offers a beautiful setting in the Sierra foothills with great amenities like a dog beach and spacious sites. However, my recent experience was marred by persistent electrical issues and disappointing management that overshadowed the enjoyable surroundings. The lack of proper facilities and ongoing problems left us frustrated during our stay.
Our stay at Lake of the Springs was a mixed bag. While the amenities for kids were fantastic and kept our grandsons entertained, we faced some challenges with the availability of utility spaces and communication about air quality. Getting a full hookup was frustrating, especially since we’re TT members. Still, the ice cream at the store was a highlight.
During my stay, I encountered some issues that left a negative impression overall. While the atmosphere was generally quiet and the bathrooms were spacious and fairly clean, a particular experience with a staff member significantly detracted from my visit. It’s a family-friendly place, but the service left much to be desired, and I don’t think I would choose to return.
I had a mixed experience during my stay. The facilities were great with plenty of activities for both kids and adults, and the staff was accommodating, especially Melanie and her crew. However, the presence of many full-time residents made me feel like I was in a mobile home park, which took away from the camping atmosphere. Additionally, there were some issues with the ranger's service and inconvenient store closures that affected our overall experience.
